Frequently asked
Is DouShouQi.com free?
Yes, completely. You don't need an account to play. Sign up only if you want an Elo rating and a place on the leaderboard.
Which rule set do you use?
The standard international Jungle rules: rat beats elephant, lion and tiger jump the river, rats block jumps, traps reduce rank to zero, and the game is drawn by threefold repetition or 50 moves without a capture. The full list is on the rules page.
How strong are the computer opponents?
There are four levels. Easy makes plenty of mistakes and is ideal while you learn the rules; Medium gives a fair game; Hard plans several moves ahead; Master is the toughest and rarely gives anything away. You can switch level every time you start a new game.
