DouShouQi.com is a free online board game. This policy explains what we collect and why.

What we collect

If you play as a guest

• A temporary display name you choose (stored only in your browser).
• Your IP address and approximate country, used for abuse prevention and server-side game records.
• Basic device information (browser user agent) for compatibility and anti-cheat.

If you create an account

• Username, email address, and a password (stored only as a bcrypt hash, so we never see it).
• Your game statistics, Elo rating, and game records.
• Optional profile information: display name, short bio, avatar image, country.

How we use it

• To run matches, verify moves on the server, and calculate ratings.
• To show leaderboards and public profiles (you can make your profile private in settings).
• To detect cheating, abuse, and rating manipulation.

What we don't do

• We do not sell your personal data.
• We do not send marketing email.
• We do not require any personal information to play.

Cookies and local storage

We use browser local storage to keep you logged in, remember your language, sound preference, difficulty setting, and any unfinished single-player game. These never leave your device except the login token, which is sent to our server to authenticate you.

Third parties

We load icon fonts from Cloudflare and Google Fonts. If advertising is enabled on this site, ad providers may set their own cookies; you can opt out through their respective settings.

Your rights

You can edit or delete your profile at any time in Settings, and permanently delete your account (including all personal data) from the Account page. To request a copy of your data, email [email protected].

The game is suitable for all ages, but accounts are intended for users aged 13 and over.
